Springtime in New Mexico

Springtime in NM

American Eagle shirt; Pacsun jeans; Payless flats; Tiffany necklace (gift).

Ah, springtime in New Mexico. This is from a few days ago when it was warm enough to wear a slouchy t-shirt and flats. Today, however, I only left the house once, but I had to wear my heavy jacket, a scarf, and boots. Not cool.

Anyway, this weekend I:
  • Planted willow trees by the Rio Grande. Which would have been awesome if I didn't have a wicked headache from the night before. From all the networking I did, if you know what I mean.

  • Went to Five Guys for the first time. Which totally cured that headache.

  • Picked up trash in a field (it was a community service kind of weekend for the organizations that I'm in). Fun things found were 3 tires, a syringe, and more broken beer bottles than you can imagine. Also, no buried treasure.

  • Ate fried pickles. This actually might have been the highlight of the whole weekend.

  • Studied fun things like related party transactions, how to convert operating leases into capital leases, and deferred taxes. You know you're jealous.

  • And watched the Oscars. While I should have been studying the above fun things.
What did you do this weekend?

Is it Friday yet?

I'm in love with these shoes, I got them for only $4 at goodwill! I'm not really sure what all they'll go with, but I'm looking forward to remixing them.

I cannot wait for this week to be over already. Today is only my second day of school but I have a ridiculous amount of stuff to do already. I make to-do lists for most days and I needed two pages for it today!

I had always planned for my last semester to be relaxed and pretty easy for the most part, but I can't help but make myself busy I guess. And there's probably more productive things I should be doing right now other than blogging (like doing the reading for my class in 15 minutes) but oh well.

It's Friday I'm in love

Are you tired of this location yet? Me too, but I haven't had the need to leave my apartment all week long, so the parking lot it is.

And I liked this outfit a lot when I came up with it, but I'm not too crazy about the pictures for some reason. Maybe I needed a necklace or a belt, or maybe the lighting is just weird.

Oh well, I wanted to share it anyway because the button-down is a recent purchase and it's one of the few red things I own. Plus I was having a good hair day, and the only other people who got to see it were my roommate and the cashier at Target.

Anyway, I don't have any exciting weekend plans, I just started reading Watership Down so most of my weekend will probably be spent finishing that. I hope you guys have a lot more exciting things going on!

Another day, another flannel

Dillards blazer; Anchor Blue flannel; Pacsun necklace and jeans; Thrifted belt; Kohl's boots

This is one of those outfits that I was kinda proud of for coming up with. I thought adding a blazer to an otherwise lumberjack-inspired outfit polished it just the right amount. I'm also pretty sure Liz Lemon wore something like this once.

Anyway, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! I know I sure did. The necklace and jeans were gifts from the little bro this year, he has pretty good taste right?

I also got a leopard Snuggie, and I honestly have no idea how I ever lived without one of these before. I've always laughed at the idea of a blanket with sleeves, but now I totally get it. And never want to take it off.

What cool things did you guys get for Christmas?
