My favorite color

17/30 Maurices cardigan; Pacsun tank; Old Navy skirt; Target flats; Charlotte Russe belt.

Yellow is my absolute favorite color, so I was really excited that it was this month's EBEW. Check out the link to see how everyone else is wearing it today!

In other news, I finally scheduled my first exam today, and it's in two weeks exactly! I have probably a little less than a week's worth of new material to go over, and then that gives me a week to review everything. I'm terrified, but really excited to get it over with.

Today's post is brought to you by the letter B

Maurices cardigan; Old Navy dress; Thrifted belt; Target wedges.

So, first things first, I passed my orals! Holy moly am I glad that's over.

Secondly, I don't know what the letter B is for. But my roommate had it in her car (it was a prop from work) and for some reason I got excited and I just HAD to pose with it like my name was Brittany or Brianne and I was taking my senior pictures.

If that disappoints you, feel free to imagine that it stands for something meaningful like blog, or balance sheet, or...bacon. If you can think of something cooler you win a prize!*

Aaaand I'm a little sleep deprived but on the upside 19 days until graduation!

*You won't actually win a prize :(

Presidents' Day

The weather's been gorgeous here lately, but unfortunately, windy. Hence the crazy-ish hair. I'll take it though for 70 degree weather.

This weekend I:
  • Went to a Jafra party. I always tell myself I'm not going to buy stuff at those kinds of things, but I ended up getting bronzer, lipstick, and make up primer. After trying them, I'm not sure how I ever lived without them.
  • Saw The King's Speech. Which was fantastic. I highly recommend.
  • Played Dance Central for xbox Kinect. And realized I'm kind of awful at it. But I did it with some guy friends who were highly entertaining to watch.
  • Ate a lot of pizza. And a lot of doritos. And girl scout cookies. I should probably eat only salad this week.
  • Put together a blogroll and the new links on the side* (courtesy of the boy).
Here are the things I didn't do this weekend:
  • Cook
  • Clean
  • Do laundry
  • Do homework
I'm also very jealous of those of you who have 3-day weekends. But I guess not that much because I have Fridays off, and therefore 3-day weekends every weekend.

Oh well. How's your Presidents' Day weekend?

*I'm still working on an about me page, so that's why it's currently blank.

Is it Friday yet?

I'm in love with these shoes, I got them for only $4 at goodwill! I'm not really sure what all they'll go with, but I'm looking forward to remixing them.

I cannot wait for this week to be over already. Today is only my second day of school but I have a ridiculous amount of stuff to do already. I make to-do lists for most days and I needed two pages for it today!

I had always planned for my last semester to be relaxed and pretty easy for the most part, but I can't help but make myself busy I guess. And there's probably more productive things I should be doing right now other than blogging (like doing the reading for my class in 15 minutes) but oh well.

The Number 23

The Number 23
Maurices cardigan; Old Navy tee; Aeropostale jeans; Wet Seal boots; Scarf borrowed from my brother

It turns out I've been only working with 29 items this whole time (shows how much I pay attention). I got rid of two pairs of oxfords early on and apparently never replaced one of them, so I'm going to make this t-shirt my 30th item for the next week or so. It'll be nice to have another long-sleeved tee for layering since it's been getting cold.

The Number 23

I went shopping with my family on Black Friday and I gotta say, I'm definitely glad to not be working retail anymore. I was very proud of myself for not buying anything, although I really think I would have bought these in a second if they were in my size:

The Number 23

They were at Goodwill, brand new for $5. I drooled over them for a good 15 minutes before giving up on trying to make an 8.5 work for my size 7 feet. So sad.

It's probably all for the best though, I have no idea what I would have worn them with anyway. I think this challenge is already making me think more carefully about what I do buy and how things will go with the stuff already in my closet.

Four (and Five)

Today's post has two outfits, because I'm awesome like that. I think it's fair because I plan on only wearing sweatpants this weekend, so I'll still be on track with the 30 for 30. As long as I'm done right around the 1st part of December I'll be happy.

Four
Shirt-Maurices, Jeans-Aeropostale, Shoes-Thrifted, Necklace-American Eagle

I wore this to class, while it was still somewhat warm outside. I had a group presentation in my ethics class, and although we're not required to dress professionally for them, if it was up to me I still would. But it isn't up to me, and my group wanted to all wear jeans. So jeans it was.

Five
Pants-Old Navy, Cardigan-Maurices, Belt-Charlotte Russe

I added black pants, a cardigan and a belt for a meeting for my honor society (and of course, it wouldn't be a good honor society if we didn't go to the bar afterwards).

Monday, November 1

One.

I'll officially be a week early for this, but I'm super excited about today being Day 1 of my 30 for 30!

Fall30for30logo

Kendi's starting November 8, and I really encourage you to join! It's a little scary, but I definitely think it'll change the way you look at your closet forever!

I really do need to work on accessorizing though. I mean look at this! I'm not wearing a single piece of jewelry, which is embarrassing considering how much I own.

Other than that, this is a pretty simple outfit. Perfect for running errands, grading papers, and doing homework. It's also beautiful outside today. 75 degrees, and not one single cloud in the sky. I really really love living in the southwest.

P.S. I've also already made the executive decision to nix my black oxfords and add another button down. That brings me down to six shoes, which still may be too many, but oh well.
