Cloud Nine

Cloud Nine
Cloud Nine
Cardigan, Skirt and Shirt-Old Navy, Scarf and Leggings-Aeropostale, Boots-Charlotte Russe

I'll be honest you guys, I wasn't crazy about this outfit. I've seen a couple other bloggers wear purple and olive green together but it just didn't seem to work for me. I did button up the cardigan later in the day, and that seemed to work better (no pictures of this though, of course). I debated posting it at all, but then I'd have to do a 31st day, and I'm pretty sure by then I'll be missing the rest of my clothes pretty bad.

This outfit was surprisingly warm though, I helped out with a bake sale in the morning and it was freezing, but I layered up Plummy style and wore 3 layers on top and two on the bottom (there's neon pink leggings under the black ones).

Anyway, thoughts on my weird color combinations? Or is it all in my head? In any case, I'll try again tomorrow.

  3. Haha, I'm glad I represent crazy layering...it's definitely something that I do ALL THE TIME! I like this outfit, but something isn't quite clicking, you're right. I think it's the striped shirt you're wearing. Olive green and purple are such saturated colors that the lighter, brighter shirt doesn't go as well. Perhaps a rich-colored sweater, or even something black or charcoal gray?

  4. You're adorable! I'm a little obsessed with layering, too. Honestly, that purple and olive go great together — who'da thunk? :)

  5. I feel like the colors of the shirt aren't bright enough against the skirt. Layering is definitely the way to go!

  6. I think it looks great! But it sometimes is hard to see it yourself, especially if its a combo you aren't used to.

  8. I don't think it's weird at all! I like the pattern mixing in your scarf and t :)

  9. It's funny how critical we are of ourselves (I'm so guilty!). I really like those two colors together--I'm starting to see olive as more of a neutral, and I love the way it looks with rich bright colors! So I think it's a keeper :)

  10. You look great... and natural. Kdrs is having such a hard time with taking pictures and trying to look serious. I am so not a model... and for 30 days everyone is going to know it. LOL.
I love the Olive and purple together, it goes great with your skin tone.

    Cheers,
