It's
Everybody Everywear time! And I gotta say, I had a lot more difficulties with this month's challenge than I thought I would. I tried on almost everything patterned in my closet, and I kept looking like I got dressed in the dark.
I'm definitely pleased with this result though, it seemed easier to pair a larger print with a smaller one, and the neutral colors helped too (grey goes with everything in my opinion).
This looks lovely, the giant belt looks great with it. Really pulls the two pieces together.
ReplyDeleteLove that skirt...pockets!! Pattern mix totally gets tied together with the great gray belt!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I did, mix a small & large print and keep it neutral. I'm not too bold of a dresser as of yet. I love your look!!
ReplyDeleteComplex Cardigans
Perfect job! It's always key to keep either the colors the same shades or the prints the size. Love it!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! You did a great job with this ebew. I have trouble mixing patterns as well. I'm afraid I will look like a crazy bag lady.
ReplyDeleteI've yet to do pattern-mixing well!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! The gray makes it more "summer-y."
Great outfit! Gray does go with everything. This was my first EBEW challenge, and it was hard! I did florals with polka dots. I'll have to try stripes next time.
ReplyDeleteDid you do your hair yourself? Looks cute!
the belt really pulls this look together. i love it!
ReplyDeleteI had this skirt on for my round one outfit today but I couldn't find the right tank for the pattern mixing. Probably because you'd already taken it.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is too cute! grea piece of pattern mixing ^^ x
ReplyDeleteI'm getting serious print envy from looking at all these EBEW entries... I'll be print shopping very soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I hear you on how hard it is to mix patterns. I'm not so good myself, but you've done it so effortlessly!
ReplyDeleteThe grey and white tank is a perfect pattern mixing staple - looks great!
ReplyDeleteare the payless flats comfy?
ReplyDeletethat is the question!
It was kind of tough this time, wasn't it? I'd say you pulled it off - I love how you mixed patterns, but something about the colors and style makes it feel like like one outfit. Well done!
ReplyDeletethis look is amazing...I think you really nailed the pattern mixing!
ReplyDeleteWhen mixing patterns I almost always go with neutrals, so I totally see why you decided to do so. It makes it seem less BAM, in a good way haha. I really like that belt with this outfit. Nice job Lydia :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you had on before, but I think this look is perfection! And I like the smaller florals with the larger stripes too--I would steal this look for sure!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern mixing! This outfit is really cute, that skirt is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI really like how laid back and comfortable this whole outfit is. It looks like the perfect Sunday afternoon attire. - Katy
ReplyDeleteI love this combination! Stripes and floral is the best pattern mixing there is out there :) love it!
ReplyDeleteThese patterns together are beyond perfect. The tiny florals work great with the big stripes. You did a great job!

First off, let's just talk about how awesome your blog name is. Because it is wicked awesome. Second off, I'm digging your print mixing! Stripes go with everything, imho, especially florals, and the grey belt really helps pull the two pieces together.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I used Keiko Lynn's tutorial for a bun, takes just a few seconds!
ReplyDeleteThey totally are! A lot of my flats are from there (quantity over quality I guess) and they're all really comfy.
