Shades of Grey (No. 15)
So it turns out, when you only have 30 items to wear you have to do laundry a lot more often. Usually I do it about once a month, and so I am definitely not used to this. (Don't judge, I am in college and quarters are hard to find sometimes)
However, if it wasn't for my need to do laundry I probably would not have come up with this outfit, which I really really love. I'd been wanting to do an all-grey look ever since Shea over at Bon Chic Bon Gastronomique did it a few weeks ago.

Happy one month blogging! I like how you did one color for your outfit but still made it cool with the different shades.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't worn all my 30 for 30 items yet. But I think after this weekend, laundry will come a calling.
Hey lady, thanks for the shout out!! I LOVE your gray on gray look! The different shades and textures keep it interesting, and the belt is the perfect fun touch!
ReplyDeleteI totally lol'ed at your about me tagline b/c homework is EXACTLY what I should be doing right now instead of cruising through your super cute blog :D So I will just say that I LOVE your style, you picked such fun colors to remix! Ok back to work ;)
ReplyDeleteMonochromatic looks are always great!...and Grey is totally the "in" shade it seems
ReplyDeleteLOVE this shades of grey look! i love grey in general and you rocked it!
ReplyDeletehah! i still only do laundry about once a month while doing this 30 for 30... (ok, i kid, twice a month)
ReplyDeletethis outfit is really similar to what i wore today, so i like it, obviously :)

ReplyDeleteOh I totally know what you mean about laundry! But it's actually easier since they're smaller loads! I love this look, I think I need more grey in my wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteI like this monochromatic/minimalist look. So in right now.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I love the varying shades, it makes the outfit interesting even though it's only one color.

Grey! Such a pretty color and you did great things with it =]
ReplyDeleteHaha and I only do laundry when I run out of underwear...stupid quarters.
oooh i love this! so simple yet so chic...you do the monochrome thing well :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad you didn't do laundry, because I love this outfit SO MUCH, too.
ReplyDeleteYou had me a gray. ::sigh::
Also, I do not judge-- I don't even have the excuse of difficult to find laundry facilities... I may or may not be lazy. But can you blame me? Laundry is like serving time!
Wow, a month and you've already got a good amount of followers...you must network like crazy, something I should do but don't because I am horrendously busy and equally lazy.
ReplyDeleteThe all grey works really well with your skin tone, the shades are kind of blue grey which has a warmth to it I really like. The boots are really nice and makes me wish I wore flat boots, I find they make my feet hurt after a while so I tend to stick to heeled...which means there are a lot of gorgeous boots I may never buy.
Happy 1 month of blogging! I love this outfit, and so glad that you started posting where the items were from. I had to keep going back to your original 30x30 items post to find out where all your cute clothes were from! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy one month birthday!! (a bit late)
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a saying about neccessity being the mother of invention? Love what neccessity created here!!
