Exciting things

Old Navy dress; Wet Seal cardigan; Target flats; Ross belt (little boys section).

So many exciting things to talk about today! I almost don't know where to start.

First of all, I switched to Disqus. I'd been meaning to do it for a while, and I highly recommend it. The ability to respond to comments is seriously fantastic.

Secondly, my domain is now www.omglydia.com. This is also something I'd been meaning to do for a while, and it was fairly easy. The only thing I had trouble with is all my comments disappeared! I'm pretty sure all of them are back now except for my last two posts...which is a little frustrating but it could be worse I guess. Does everything else look normal to you guys?

And finally, let me tell you how awesomely cheap this outfit was. Dress=$9, Cardi=$2, Belt=$2, Flats=$3. That's a total of $16, and nothing was even thrifted, just on super super sale. Pretty awesome, huh?

This week has been a little hectic, but definitely in a good way. I loved being home for the holidays and spending time with my family. I especially loved hanging out with the little bro, who apparently looks like me or something.

I managed to make it through the snow back home just in time for New Year's Eve. I hope all of you have a safe and wonderful night tonight!

My plans tonight are to:
  1. Wear something sparkly
  2. Eat fondue
  3. Drink champagne
  4. Hopefully take pictures that I can share next week.
What are your plans?

Tough act to follow (25 and 26)

So, I was really proud of yesterday's outfit, and I'm so glad you all liked it too! I think that's the most comments that I've ever gotten on a single post.

Unfortunately, I've been studying and doing homework like a maniac the past couple of days, and since it gets dark so early now these next outfits are of the slightly blurry, indoor lighting variety. Hopefully you won't hold it against me. (It's better than me trying to describe them to you, right?)

25
Old Navy cardigan; Pacsun tank (it's an undershirt, doesn't count, right?)and jeans; Wet Seal boots; Target scarf (won over at Bon Chic Bon Gastronomique)

I also need to remove the tag from my scarf, it looks like.

26
Wet Seal cardigan and scarf; Maurices shirt; Pacsun jeans; Wet Seal boots (same as above)

In other news, I've added a nifty gadget over there on the side where you can ask me anything on Formspring. Because I'm sure you guys have burning questions...right?

You can almost see the boyfriend in the reflection of the window, he's been a sweetheart this week taking my pictures while my roommate (and her camera) are out of town.

This weekend I:
  • Watched Donnie Darko
  • Made pumpkin-cheesecake muffins
  • Worked on a paper about the association between audit fees and earnings management indicators
I am so interesting. Now I'm going to go work on that paper some more. I'll post the rest of my weekend pictures tomorrow (19 and 20, two-thirds of the way done, woo!).

How was your weekend?

Shades of Grey (No. 15)

15 Shades of Grey

So it turns out, when you only have 30 items to wear you have to do laundry a lot more often. Usually I do it about once a month, and so I am definitely not used to this. (Don't judge, I am in college and quarters are hard to find sometimes)

However, if it wasn't for my need to do laundry I probably would not have come up with this outfit, which I really really love. I'd been wanting to do an all-grey look ever since Shea over at Bon Chic Bon Gastronomique did it a few weeks ago.

PS I've officially been doing this blogging thing for one month now. Thank you so much for reading! It's been a lot of fun so far.

I had a presentation last night in my theory class and this is what I wore. My presentation was called "Accruals and Future Stock Returns: Tests of the Naive Investor Hypothesis". It was about as interesting as it sounds, which is not very much. In fact I'm surprised you're still awake and reading this.

This time of year is definitely crazy as far as homework goes. I think I have about 5 more papers to write and a couple more presentations before the end of the semester, which is only about two more weeks not including Thanksgiving break. One more reason to look forward to winter break.

P.S. I learned how to make pictures bigger, thoughts?
