Thrifted top (worn as dress here); Thrifted skirt and belt; Target shoes.
I've come a long way with taking risks and being more creative with how I dress since starting this blog. But navy blue has always been a hard color for me. For some reason I tend to think that it doesn't go with anything, and so that's why I decided to pair it with more navy blue. A lot of you gave me some other great suggestions to pair the skirt with on twitter, so I promise to be more adventurous next time.
In other news, my weekend starts at 4 pm on Thursday! Thank goodness. Do you guys have any fun Easter plans? I'm going to a friend's house for an awesome homemade meal, I also plan on eating as many chocolate eggs and rabbits as possible.
BIG fan of navy!! Love this outfit, you look adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the skirt! but you can do so much with a nave skirt! try an bright colour yellow and blue are always great! :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to look at navy as a neutral, so it can go with almost anything. That top is super cute.
ReplyDeletelove it! you look great. my favorite with navy is to go nautical with it with red and/or white.
ReplyDeleteI like to look at navy as a neutral and pair it with anything...greens, pinks, and even black!
ReplyDeleteSo, when are you done??
i like this look a lot! my mother wears a TON of navy, so i always shied away from it out of sheer obstinance, but lately i've been noticing a huge amount of navy creeping into my wardrobe.
ReplyDeletei used to firmly believe in never wearing navy and black together, but now it's one of my favorite color combos!
Yay! Navy blue! I really like that you added a brown belt.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this Lydia--it's very springy but so put-together too! A plus! And I know what you mean--I've found that I really like red with navy, so that's all I seem to ever wear it with!
ReplyDeleteits a great look

I love navy! I always thought it paired well with red, yellow, green....wait...anything! But navy with navy is also very chic. And I like the skirt with that belt.
ReplyDeleteHey I love wearign navy blue but more on top than bottom. I think pairing it with florals is a great idea (bec you did above and I love it). I would pair it with a vibrant top on top (yellow, coral) or even just a plain white tee/shirt and brown belt. I am going to e-mail you soon with a request! xo
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your easter weekend! I am eating chocolate and visiting friends!
