What to wear with navy blue

Thrifted top (worn as dress here); Thrifted skirt and belt; Target shoes.

I've come a long way with taking risks and being more creative with how I dress since starting this blog. But navy blue has always been a hard color for me. For some reason I tend to think that it doesn't go with anything, and so that's why I decided to pair it with more navy blue. A lot of you gave me some other great suggestions to pair the skirt with on twitter, so I promise to be more adventurous next time.

In other news, my weekend starts at 4 pm on Thursday! Thank goodness. Do you guys have any fun Easter plans? I'm going to a friend's house for an awesome homemade meal, I also plan on eating as many chocolate eggs and rabbits as possible.

Thrifted skirt and top; Ross belt (little boys section); Target heels.

So do you ever feel like you have nothing to wear and your wardrobe sucks? And then you do a month's worth of laundry and you have more clothes than you know what to do with? This happens to me once a month. Maybe someday I'll learn...or I'll get a maid.

Anyway, I copied every bit of this outfit from this one that Sydney posted over at The Daybook. And I'm totally not ashamed, because I really, really love it and how the peachy skirt and the nude shoes make my legs look like they belong to some Amazon woman. An Amazon woman who should probably bust out the self-tanner.

Counting down

Banana Republic dress (thrifted); Charlotte Russe necklace and pumps; Target tights.

It's actually been warm enough to go without tights lately, but my cat is a total spaz and scratched all the way down my leg the other day when he was falling off of our couch. So tights it was.

This weekend I saw Red Riding Hood. Which should probably win the award for most awful movie, ever. But it was definitely worth the $8 because it was so unintentionally hilarious.

I also worked at a Relay for Life carwash this weekend. And by worked, I mean I stood on the side of the road holding signs and yelling my head off at the cars driving by. I got a lot of dirty looks and even more creepy stares, but there were quite a bit of nice people who stopped to get their cars washed.

Other than that, I was a lazy bum for the rest of the weekend. Only one more week until Spring Break though! I'm seriously counting down the hours.

Halogen jacket (thrifted); Target tank and skirt; Charlotte Russe heels; Necklace from street vendor in Santa Fe.

Are you tired of me wearing this necklace? Because it goes with everything somehow, so I don't care.

I dress professionally about once a week when I have my honor society meetings. Those are at night, so by the time I change it's usually dark already. But I took pictures early so you guys could see this outfit! You're welcome.

This jacket was $5 at Savers, and I had a hard time styling it at first. I thought it'd look good with pants, but I wasn't a big fan of it. However, I'm a firm believer that everything looks good with a pencil skirt. And I was right once again.

Anyway, hope you guys have an awesome weekend! I'll be spending mine studying for midterms (boo!).

27 Dresses

Maurices shirt; Target skirt and heels; JC Penney tights

Okay, so maybe these shoes aren't in my 30 items. But instead of cheating, I'm going to refer to this as 'gently easing my way back into the rest of my wardrobe'. Who knows what will happen when I have access to my entire closet, and so I believe that doing it slowly will be much safer. It's about safety people.

Actually, I was going to wear my purpley-pink shoes with this but it didn't quite go together right with the tights and I was worried that I would look either color blind, or like I dressed in the dark. Plus I wore this to a scholarship breakfast where I'd be around a lot of accountants, and most accountants can only handle so much color at a time. Again, I'm only thinking about safety.

And if this doesn't make much sense it's because this time of year I'm only able to function because of my frequent starbucks visits, and the motivation that a week from now my semester will be over.
