Anyway, I liked doing the 'three ways to wear' post so much last week that I thought I'd do it again. Hope you enjoy it too!
12/30 Pacsun shirt*; Thrifted belt; Target wedges.
13/30 Charlotte Russe shirt; Target flats.
14/30 Express shirt; Thrifted scarf (worn as belt); Payless sandals.
I still feel like there are endless remixing opportunities with this skirt, especially once I have access to the rest of my closet after the challenge! (See also how Kendi has styled a similar skirt here and here)
*I also swapped out one of my cardigans for the t-shirt in the top outfit. (It's on sale here by the way) I'm not sure what I was thinking before because sweaters are the last thing I want to wear in this heat.
These are all so cute. I really like the belt (scarf) in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteI have a blue pencil skirt to but it is 100% polyester so I can't wear it in the summer.
I love the belt as a scarf. That outfit is so adorable. Second fav is definitely the hot pink shirt tied up. It's awesome how all the looks are different...go you!

What a great thrifting find - love the color! I've been jealous of Kendi's too :) Looks great with the pink top, but I also love the scarf-as-belt look...
ReplyDeleteWhat great remixes of that skirt...I love the first way you styled it :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great color! And I love the t-shirt you're wearing in the first look. I also love the way you knotted that pink tee, too! Great styling.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I 100% want to buy that T-shirt and the only thing stopping me is the fact that I promised not to shop during the Thirty for 30. Ugh, my budget better be grateful for all this not buying I have been doing lately. Also, that skirt is super cute and a dead ringer for Kendi's. You must be pretty fashionable to own something that that fashionable chicka also sports :)
ReplyDeleteElectric blue is my favorite color. My mom even made my wedding dress in electric blue. It demands attention, but in a good way... Love the casual yet chic looks you created!!

that blue color is fantastic in all three combinations!
ReplyDeletelovely skirt! I'm a fan of the shape! The color goes so well with that scarf/belt too! :)
ReplyDeleteI like this feature as well! I love all three looks. I love the tee shirt in the first outfit, the contrast of the pink and blue in the second outfit, and the scarf worn as a belt in the third!
ReplyDeleteI like all three looks, but I think that the second one is my favorite. I like the coral color.
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda loving your "three ways" posts. (That sounded waaaaaaaaay dirtier than I intended)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great skirt and I agree its mixing potential is HUGE.
A Foreign Land
Pencil skirts do tend to segregate themselves into work wear, but they really do have potential on the weekends too! you did a great job with this one, so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I hope you dont mind if I borrow this idea from you for a future post!
ReplyDeleteI need to comb through the skirt racks at the thrift stores. Love the color and I like the way you paired it with the coral shirt.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these, but the second one is unexpectedly my favorite! That color combination is killed and I just love the silhouette!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great skirt! Love the looks you came up with!

I passed up a very similar skirt at the thrift store. Now I'm regretting that decision. You look super cute in your skirt.

ReplyDeleteI love it paired with that salmon top! I love the idea of remixing such a bold piece! I love this skirt and wish it was hanging in my closet!

ReplyDeletei just found your blog - love it!
You look cute in all three but my favorite is #1. That's a great shirt!
ReplyDeleteJenn
I love the skirt in #1. Your "3 ways to wear" posts are awesome because we all have items in our closets that we want to wear more often but don't know how to change it up. Your outfits are great inspiration! I agree with the other poster who said it's tempting to buy the same PacSun shirt but we can't until the 30 for 30 is over! Grr! :)

Thanks for stopping by BFF! I love when bloggers do posts showing multiple looks using one item...it shows such creativity! I think the second look is my favorite; those colors look fantastic together!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely start looking! You'd be surprised how many colored pencil skirts people donate.
ReplyDeleteAww, sorry for the temptation! I didn't put myself on a shopping ban this time around, although so far this shirt is the only thing that I've bought.
ReplyDeleteYay, I love the "3 ways to wear"--I get lots of good ideas! Because of my current shirt-knotting obsession I think look #2 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like lots them all but I REALLY love #1!
ReplyDeletehaha I mean "like them all lots", whoops!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, thanks Molly!
