Three ways to wear: blue pencil skirt

When I first thrifted this skirt I could only think of simple, professional ways to wear it. (Like with a white button-down, like I did with a dark purple skirt here) I included it in my 30 items, however, because I thought it had potential to be worn more ways, specifically more casually this summer.

Anyway, I liked doing the 'three ways to wear' post so much last week that I thought I'd do it again. Hope you enjoy it too!

I still feel like there are endless remixing opportunities with this skirt, especially once I have access to the rest of my closet after the challenge! (See also how Kendi has styled a similar skirt here and here)

*I also swapped out one of my cardigans for the t-shirt in the top outfit. (It's on sale here by the way) I'm not sure what I was thinking before because sweaters are the last thing I want to wear in this heat.

  1. These are all so cute. I really like the belt (scarf) in the last photo.
I have a blue pencil skirt to but it is 100% polyester so I can't wear it in the summer.

  2. I love the belt as a scarf. That outfit is so adorable. Second fav is definitely the hot pink shirt tied up. It's awesome how all the looks are different...go you!

  3. What a great thrifting find - love the color! I've been jealous of Kendi's too :) Looks great with the pink top, but I also love the scarf-as-belt look...

  5. What a great color!  And I love the t-shirt you're wearing in the first look.  I also love the way you knotted that pink tee, too!  Great styling.

  6. Okay, so I 100% want to buy that T-shirt and the only thing stopping me is the fact that I promised not to shop during the Thirty for 30.  Ugh, my budget better be grateful for all this not buying I have been doing lately. Also, that skirt is super cute and a dead ringer for Kendi's.  You must be pretty fashionable to own something that that fashionable chicka also sports :)

  7. Electric blue is my favorite color.  My mom even made my wedding dress in electric blue.  It demands attention, but in a good way...  Love the casual yet chic looks you created!!

  10. I like this feature as well! I love all three looks. I love the tee shirt in the first outfit, the contrast of the pink and blue in the second outfit, and the scarf worn as a belt in the third!

  27. I love the skirt in #1. Your "3 ways to wear" posts are awesome because we all have items in our closets that we want to wear more often but don't know how to change it up. Your outfits are great inspiration! I agree with the other poster who said it's tempting to buy the same PacSun shirt but we can't until the 30 for 30 is over! Grr! :)
